Summary:The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for aggregating data from multiple sources in an efficient data warehouse and designing enterprise-level solutions for very large multidimensional databases. As a BI Developer, you collaborate as part of a team composed of technical leaders representing the enterprise, application, data and network architecture, infrastructure security, and business management leaders.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Logical and Physical Database Design & Development using best practices for OLTP and OLAP (Kimball, Inmon) systems
  • Experience in complex query techniques and advanced analytical functions
  • Proficient in performance analysis, monitoring and SQL query tuning
  • Hands on experience with Cloud platforms
  • Worked on all phases of software development life cycle
  • Conversant with waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience in automating DevOps processes
  • Good knowledge of API technologies (SOAP, REST)
  • Knowledge of BI tools like Cognos, Oracle BI
  • Preferable experience with Phyton, Java, JSON
  • Knowledge of NoSQL and distributed systems is a plus
  • Experience in insurance and finance industry preferred
  • Any experience with Salesforce would also be desirable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and Test ETL processes per business requirements
  • Plan deployments, moving from Dev to QA to Production environments
  • Load/extract data from/to multiple data sources including cloud applications (, Applied Epic, Callidus ICM)
  • Ensure designed systems are reliable, self-recovering and require minimal support
  • Work on troubleshooting data integration errors and identifying the data issues between data sources/targets
  • Research, analyze and define technical problems and recommend alternative solutions
  • Gather reporting and analysis requirements and translate into reporting structured data models, including aggregate tables, pivoted tables, and relational and dimensional (star-schema) data marts.
  • Define and document complex technical design/requirements for integrations and data warehousing
  • Develop /Maintain processes that conduct service calls through APIs that interface with applications on cloud
  • Document all of the following: business requirements, design requirements, and development work

Education and/or Experience:

  • 6+ years of related experience in data warehousing
  • At least 4 years' experience using SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
  • Expert-level SQL coding and performance tuning skills
