The Child Mind Institute is recruiting a Senior Director for the Clinical Program in our new integrated Clinical-Research Autism Center. The clinical program is one of five clinical programs that comprise our rapidly expanding Child Mind Medical Practice. The Senior Director will work with practice leadership to develop and expand the clinical services in the Autism Center at the Child Mind Institute and collaborate with our developing autism Research Center, as well as our other clinical programs. The Senior Director provides leadership around the strategy and clinical focus of the Autism Center to ensure Center goals are aligned with the mission of the Child Mind Institute. The Senior Director is a demonstrated master clinician and is responsible for the clinical productivity and professional growth of the Center's faculty to ensure high quality, evidence-based clinical care. The Senior Director also works with leadership to identify and design programs aimed at achieving the strategic goals of the Autism center.

Reporting to the Clinical Director, this a full-time, exempt position located in our NYC headquarters.

Responsibilities:

Clinical

* Supervise clinical staff and trainees in the Center; ensure high quality, state of the art, evidence-based clinical care and behavioral interventions to patients and families
Establish clinical outcomes metrics; track results and efficacy of patient care across a multitude of treatment modalities and diagnoses. Select and maintain clinical evaluation materials
Ensure compliance with clinical standards and best practices
Manage streamlined case assignment for Center clinicians and trainees
Perform clinical activities; diagnostic evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents

Management

* Assess job performance of current staff through performance evaluations
Ensure appropriate staffing to meet Center and organizational objectives
Participate in recruiting and interviewing new clinicians across all clinical domains
Responsible for the professional growth of the Center's clinical faculty; encourage and foster innovative ideas and provide opportunities for development

Administrative

* Work with Child Mind Institute leadership to develop and execute the strategy for the Center, including clinical-research integration.
Review clinical productivity metrics to ensure goals are achieved; participate in budget meetings
Work with leadership to evaluate and enhance Center initiatives
Participate in new program development as content expert; upon feasibility review, participate in overall management and implementation of the program as needed
As a member of the Leadership Team, participate in the strategic planning and execution of Child Mind Institute's overall goals and mission
Other related duties as assigned by the Clinical Director

Qualifications:

* Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology
10 years of clinical practice in child mental healthcare preferred
Research experience preferred
Must have current, valid, unrestricted license, or be eligible for license, to practice child and adolescent psychology in the State of New York
Board certification or eligible for certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology preferred
Demonstrated clinical excellence in your field
Demonstrated leadership abilities and team building skills
Strong teamwork ethic; positive, flexible attitude; ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to change
